Monthly Livestream #11!

Thanks for tuning into yesterday's livestream! I started things off with some music by the great Chick Corea, whose sudden passing this month was a shock to all of us. I played his "Eternal Child", which is a spirit that I believe he embodied throughout his career, as well as several of his "Children's Songs" (nos. 1,2,3,4,5 and 10).

Then we had some great questions: one about polyphony/improvising in multiple voices, and then one about a subject I discussed in my Elite Music Mentor class, which is the idea of "color" in harmony. Then wrapped things up with a request for George Shearing's "Conception".
