Monthly Livestream #18!

Hey everyone!

Here's the recording of today's livestream. Had a great time, thanks to everyone for tuning in! I opened with a few tunes: Charlie Parker's "Visa", which has been a favorite of mine for years and I recorded on "Solo Vol. 1". And also something composed by the great Cecile McLorin Salvant called "Thunderclouds".  I'm still riding high from the show we played this past weekend in Jacksonville! So her music is on my mind and wanted to try out this beautiful song.

Also had a lot of great questions including: how to implement new techniques into your playing, about balancing the hands dynamically, about hearing melodies, some ideas about arranging standards, playing over the barline and how to hear bigger beats, overcoming nerves (yikes! spoiler: that never really ends but being prepared helps...), and about orchestrating for quintet. We covered a lot of ground!

And I'll see you all again soon - since I missed last month I'll do another livestream this month, sometime the week of October 17th, I'll figure out the date and message you all ASAP!
